If it is a weak stream then that would point to the spray pattern aiming at the foot of the windscreen and then point to some other problem like a broken pump or a blockage in the lines. Recently i used my windshield washer and found it to be very weak.

When i pull the lever to engage the pump i can clearly hear the motor but the stream is extremely weak and will only spray about three inches above the nozzle. Weak stream indicates prostate problems.

Did some research and found out there is some strainer at the bottom of the fluid reservoir which gets clogged (another damn problem specific to bmw, never heard or encountered this problem before in any other car ). Pump doesn’t engage when you activate the system.
